The Writing Process: Writing Skills Training Process
Extended writing projects (EWPs) guide students through the process of writing multi-paragraph essays in a variety of formats. Explicit writing instruction through a combination of Writing Process and Skills lessons guides students through the stages of Planning, Drafting, Revising, Editing, and Publishing.

Assessments: Assessment Methods

Self, peer and teacher assessments are integrated into each lesson to provide teachers with many assessment options that form short and long cycles. End-of-unit summative assessments combine progress tracking tools and targeted lessons for reteaching and remediation to meet the needs of all learners.
